The CDC recommends that people showing symptoms of the flu stay at home, and if they become sick at work that they be sent home. Scott Schultz, senior client relations manager with the Pewaukee-based insurance consultant Burkwald & Associates Inc., says employers should be more flexible with their sick time this fall.
"We’re telling (clients) that they need to make their own decisions, but they should be very flexible with their written – in stone – flexibility policies," Schultz said. |
