Three entrepreneurial businessmen founded Zero Zone in 1961 with the pledge to “build the best freezers in the business at a competitive price.”  Since then, the company has grown from its’ original Pewaukee, WI location.  We have a main headquarters in North Prairie, WI along with an additional location in Ramsey, MN which was acquired in 2002. 

We began working with Burkwald & Associates over 20 years ago and they helped us to create a large-company benefit package for a small company with an equally small budget.  As we have continued to grow from 40 employees to almost 200 while working with Burkwald & Associates, we have continued to rely on them to guide us toward quality benefits at controlled costs.

During our partnership, we have transitioned from a fully-insured medical and dental plan to a sophisticated self-funding approach on both programs.  Zero Zone depends on the risk management knowledge, communication expertise and business insight of Burkwald & Associates to stay on the leading edge of managing employee benefits and their associated expenditures.  Further, they have assisted us in implementing health risk appraisals, wellness programs and, most recently, their Empowered Health model for controlling claims. 

Without the direction provided by Burkwald & Associates, I am not sure we would have been able to offer the high quality benefits that we do which allow us to attract and retain dedicated employees as well as manage our bottom line.  For results-driven and proactive strategies, I am confident we have found the best firm for our company.  We value our relationship with Burkwald & Associates and view them as a true partner in our future success.
